How journaling can change your life ✨

If you don't have time to journal, you may want to rethink that.

It's actually the easiest and quickest thing you can do to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Journaling isn't keeping a diary, it's a tool to reflect.

🤩Reflect on your day.

🤩Reflect on your behaviour.

🤩Think about how you can do things differently.

🤩Or show you that you are worth more than you convince yourself to believe.

And the beauty of it is that there are so many ways to journal.

Here are a few different ways you could start today:

✨Morning pages - this practice sees you free-writing for 3-5 minutes every morning. You need to do it in a quiet area, where you don't be disturbed and just write without thinking about it. This is your subconscious doing the thinking and it can be really eye-opening.

✨Prompts - prompts that focus on different subject areas, maybe something that's really present for you right now or you're working on changing.

✨You could use it to increase your confidence - there's a really powerful method in my FREE '5 steps to increase your confidence' workbook on my website.

✨Brain dump - use it as a place to dump everything that's going on in our heads, especially when you are feeling negative emotions. You can use it to write down the event which led up you feeling this way, how you felt, where in your body you felt it and how you might handle the situation if it happened again.

✨Use it as a record - are the same things happening consistently with the same people? Make a note of what happens, how it makes you feel and brainstorm other ways you might be able to control the situation or at least how you feel. Identifying reoccurring patterns and behaviours make them easier to spot the next time they happen and easier to change.

✨Practice gratitude - list three things you are grateful for each day. Do this in the morning, when you wake up. Just before you are about to go to sleep or at other random times during the day. Whenever you need a little 30 second pick me up. (You don't even need to write these down)

✨Writing down your big and small wins - celebrate yourself. Keep a record of ALL your wins, no matter how big or small. This will also help to reinforce thoughts of worthiness and feeling 'good enough', or 'amazing'.

Actually spending time thinking about these things helps to be present in the moment, it helps us to process difficult emotions and strengthen our memory.

It can also help us to become more mindful.

Which practice will you choose to start today?

Take it slow and build on it and you'll soon see these small changes starting to add up.
