As another month comes to a close, it's easy to start to panic at how quickly this year is passing us by. July came and went and August has started with a bang.
Quite literally. My daughter (7) fell this morning, on her roller skates, and scrapped all the skin off her ankle, knee and little finger. It doesn't sound like much, I know, she falls over on them all the time.
She got straight up but immediately lost all the colour in her face. There were no tears, but felt sick and faint, she went as white as a sheep. It was awful.
I had my youngest (4), also on roller skates, clinging onto me for dear life, and my dog, so I wasn't much use to my injured daughter. Thankfully we weren't that far from home.
My girls hurt themselves all the time, and they let you know about it too. But this was different. This was so real, I could feel it in my body. Luckily I was able to rush my youngest home and go and scoop her up.
Thankfully she's ok and she's gone to spend the day with her nana, my mother-in-law.
Looking back: July
July was full-on. The end of the school year is always a whirlwind, school performances, parents’ evenings, a nursery leavers’ party… it all felt never-ending. Until it suddenly ended. And the summer holidays began.
The juggle is real.
Amidst the chaos, I had a breakthrough. I finally landed on a methodology that feels completely aligned. I’ve created several frameworks over the past year, mostly shaped by a business coach I’d invested in, but none of them ever felt quite mine. I found myself trying to squeeze my offers into shapes they didn’t naturally fit.
But June was a turning point. I let go of the “shoulds.” I leaned into my gut — just like I help my clients do. And what emerged was something I’m so proud of:
The R.E.A.L Method
A simple but powerful process that helps women stop second-guessing themselves and start moving forward — with clarity, courage and self-trust.
- R — Reconnect: to yourself and your ‘why’
- E — Explore: what’s keeping you stuck, the beliefs holding you back
- A — Align: your life with your values, energy and truth
- L — Lead: with courage, conviction, and confidence as your full, unapologetic self
This is the journey I’ve walked myself. It’s what I guide my clients through. And it’s the foundation behind everything I now offer.
July Wins (even amongst the chaos):
🎯 I launched The Reignite Kit – a beautiful self-coaching experience that walks you through the R.E.A.L Method using creativity, journalling, meditation, music, planning and self-reflection. It’s helped so many women reconnect with their spark and take intentional steps forward.
🎯 I delivered The Power of Perception twice – and it was brilliant. Watching my clients realise they can detach from judgement, stop overthinking outcomes and actually take action was such a gift. I’m running it again on 13th August at 8pm if you’d like to join me. Sign up here.
🎯 I prepped my summer creative workshops for kids – The first is on the 11th August! The 25th didn’t fill, but I’m not discouraged. I’m so excited to bring clay, confidence and creativity together in a way that feels joyful and empowering.
🎯 I kept showing up – even on the hard days. I lost my Grandad at the start of July, and his funeral wasn’t until the very end. It’s been emotional. There have been tears, rest, grief, stillness… and also resilience, reflection, and love. I’ve honoured all of it.
Personal Intentions Review:
🏃♀️ Movement: Running is still on pause thanks to a dodgy hip, but I’ve been going to the gym 4–5 times a week. Strength + cardio. Rebuilding. Reclaiming. Sweaty therapy.
🍟 Nourishment: We may have had McDonald's twice in one week. Don’t judge me. 😅 It’s rare, but my girls got the bug. Balance, right?
🧘♀️ Stillness: Grief has created moments of stillness, some intentional, some not. I’ve felt the need to ‘do’ more in the in-between, but I’m learning. Slowly. Stillness is a work in progress.
👩👧👧 Presence: Despite the chaos, I’ve had some beautiful moments with the girls, full of laughter, mess, creativity, and magic. And there’s still so much more summer fun to be had.
Looking ahead: August
I only have 5 allocated working days this month (thanks, summer holidays + our family trip). So I’m keeping my intentions light, joyful, and doable.
Business Intentions:
✨ Connect with more incredible women I can support and serve
✨ Deliver another Power of Perception on 13th August
✨ Create magic at my kids’ summer clay workshops
✨ Dedicate time to learning how I can serve my clients even more powerfully
Personal Intentions:
💛 Be fully present with my girls
📖 Read for 10 minutes a day (starting today — you’re my witness!)
🏋️♀️ Keep moving my body & strengthening my hip
🥗 Make better food choices (McDonald’s break officially over)
Are you ready to move into August with more intention too?
Here are a few journal prompts to get you started:
📝 What things in your life bring you the most joy?
Think back to different seasons of life and write down everything that’s ever lit you up.
📝 How can you introduce more of those things into your life right now?
📝 If you woke up 5 years from now, what would your perfect day look like?
These questions are powerful, and sometimes a bit tricky. If you’d like support in getting clarity on your dreams and what’s blocking you from living them, download my free Clarity Map. It’s a gentle but powerful place to start, and it gives you a real taste of the work I do with clients inside my programmes and offers.

Let’s make August a month of calm momentum, deeper connection, and purposeful presence.
You don’t have to do it all. But you can do what matters.
With love,
Becky x
